SESAME Employment conditions
for Engineers and Scientists |
| 1.Type of Contract
|
| The staff members will be recruited on a fixed-term contract
of 3 years, renewable, with a probation period of 6 months.
|
| 2. Post Classification and
Salary
|

The monthly gross salary scale is normally within the range of 1 556 to 4453 $
for Professional Staff( scientists, and engineers with a university degree )

The level at which staff are appointed is based upon their qualifications,
experience and the level of responsibility of the post.

The annual gross salary scales are reviewed every 5 years.

| 3. Allowances and grants
|
In addition to the gross salary, SESAME will pay the
following allowances and grants:

A family allowance (50 $ for the spouse and 40 $ for each child up to 3
children per month)

An assignment grant equal to one month of the monthly gross salary

A rental subsidy allowance depending upon the monthly rent as indicated in
annex III C of SESAME Staff Regulations

An education grant equal to 75 % of the actual expenses admissible for
reimbursement as indicated in annex III D of SESAME Staff Regulations

| 4. Social Security, Pensions,
Taxation
|

Salary and allowances (total remuneration) are exempted from all taxation in
Jordan.

Benefits include health insurance, a supplementary pension scheme, and death /
disability insurance (with staff member participation
|
| 5. Travel and Removal expenses
|

SESAME will reimburse transport costs for the personal belongings from the home
country to Amman, Jordon. The reimbursement is normally given on the basis of
the cheapest of at least three pro-forma invoices with a maximum ceiling of one
month of the monthly gross salary.

SESAME will pay the travel cost (cheapest rate) from the home country to Amman,
Jordan for the staff member and for the dependent family members residing with
him/her in Jordan.

SESAME will also pay travel cost (cheapest rate) on home leave from Jordan to
the home country for the staff member and his/her dependant family members
residing with him/her in Jordan, once every two years of continuous service.

| 6. Annual Leave Entitlement
|
| Employees at SESAME will be entitled to 30 days of annual
leave (2.5 days for each working month). In addition, they will be entitled to
public holidays in Jordan, up to a maximum of 10 days per year.
