DIRECTOR & DIRECTORATE
The Director of SESAME, who is appointed by the SESAME Council, is the chief executive officer of the Centre and its legal representative. He/she reports directly to the Council and may propose to the Council any changes he/she deems useful for the administration of SESAME.
The Director runs the Centre through the offices/sectors shown in SESAME’s Organizational Chart. The Director is assisted by a Directorate, whose members he/she proposes to the Council and whose appointment is made by the Council.
The Director and members of the Directorate are appointed for a fixed period of 4 years with the possibility of renewal for one more term. Exceptions to this rule require a unanimous vote of the Council.
