Jordan was recently selected as the host country for a regional international scientific center of excellence, with a synchrotron radiation facility as its centerpiece, nicknamed SESAME.

JSPS Asian Science Seminar

JSPS Asian Science Seminar, October 19-28, 2002 at Al-Balqa' Applied University, Al Salt, Jordan

The objectives of the seminar are to invite potential users of SESAME, give them an overview of the project, and introduce synchrotron radiation science done at SESAME. SESAME is the Middle East's first major research center being developed under the umbrella of UNESCO.

The First Work Shop in Medical Physics at UAE

Dear Colleagues,Dear SESAME users;
SESAME Training Committee is preparing a list of people from the region who wish to go to synchrotron centres as part of SESAME training programme . These trainees are selected so that they can be labelled against one of the Phase One beamlines.
Please kindly send your request with some details of the required training .The SESAME scientific committee will then make a selection out of the applications.
