SESAME will provide two grants for young scientists to attend EPDIC18, the 18th European Powder Diffraction Conference (Padova, Italy, 30 Aug – 2 Sept 2024). These grants will cover the travel and subsistence expenses, as well as registration fee of scientists from the Members of SESAME being of a maximum age of 35 on January 1, 2024 who have submitted an abstract to EPDIC18 in which they are the first author. The Application package for a grant will need to consist of the following:
- Short curriculum vitae;
- List of publications;
- Recommendation letter from the applicant’s supervisor or head of department/group;
- Copy of the abstract submitted to EPDIC18.
This application package must be submitted by email to the SESAME users’ office useroffice@sesame.org.jo no later than March 31, 2024 April 20,2024.
Scientists having applied for a grant will be informed electronically of the decision taken on their application by April 20, 2024. They will need to inform the SESAME users’ office whether they will be accepting or declining the grant no later than April 26, 2024, and to finalize their registration for the Conference by May 20, 2024.
