SESAME is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the IAEA Annual Training Workshop on Synchrotron Techniques and Applications, which will take place at SESAME from 15 to 19 November 2026. The workshop is organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in cooperation with SESAME.
The workshop is designed for researchers with little or no previous experience in synchrotron radiation techniques who wish to gain practical knowledge of synchrotron-based experiments and learn how to prepare competitive beamtime proposals. Participants will receive hands-on training at several SESAME beamlines, complemented by lectures covering the principles and applications of synchrotron science.
Researchers interested in participating are invited to consult the registration information available on the IAEA event page. Applications must be submitted through the IAEA InTouch+ platform via the appropriate national authority or invited organisation. The deadline for submission is 16 August 2026.
