While performing experiments at SESAME users generally opt to stay at SESAME’s Guest House located on the SESAME campus. Initially, this was the temporary Guest House built pending construction of a larger, permanent one. Now it is the permanent Sergio Fubini Guest House that was inaugurated on 4 December 2019.
This is a three-storey building consisting of 48 bedrooms, each equipped with a range of modern amenities. Two are accessible to disabled people. There is a small kitchenette and laundry room on each floor. The ground floor has a large dining area, meeting room and lecture theater.
The Guest House was constructed with funds generously provided by the Government of Italy represented by the Ministry for Education, University and Research through INFN (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare - National Institute for Nuclear Physics). Funding for some furniture was provided by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Switzerland in Amman.
