06 November 2024, Barossa Valley, Australia: SESAME is glad to announce its participation in the 24th International Workshop on Quantitative Musculoskeletal Imaging (QMSKI), held from 3 to 8 November 2024 in the Barossa Valley, Australia. Renowned for fostering innovation in musculoskeletal imaging, the conference gathered leading researchers and professionals from around the globe.

Gianluca Iori, BEATS beamline scientist at SESAME, showcased the cutting-edge capabilities of the new ID10 BEATS beamline through his presentation, "SESAME BEATS: A Beamline for Synchrotron X-ray MicroTomography in the Middle East."

Highlighting the importance of open science, SESAME’s Ciclope software—a workflow enabling finite element analysis from computed tomography—was honored with the QMSKI 2024 Open Science Award. This recognition celebrates the team's commitment to advancing open and reproducible science in quantitative imaging.

“We are thrilled to contribute to QMSKI and deeply honored to receive this award for our dedication to open science,” said Gianluca Iori and Giulia Fraterrigo, the award recipients.
