SESAME – LinkSCEEM
Open Day

SESAME (Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and applications in Middle East) in a partnership with LinkSCEEM Project (Linking Scientific Computation in Europe and Eastern Mediterranean) will hold an Open Day at SESAME site for local Jordanian Universities.
The Open Day offers a unique opportunity to come and visit the SESAME site. You will have the chance to meet our scientists and the professional technical staff, and get a taste of what SESAME life is really like. On the other hand, you will attend an introductory session about LinkSCEEM-2 Project (EU Project www.linksceem.eu) which aims to outreach scientists, researchers and students, and to address the need of the High Performance Computing (HPC). The scientific fields covered in SESAME-LinkSCEEM Open Day:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering and parallel programming.
- Synchrotron Applications in:
- Physics,
- Material Science,
- Archeology/Petrology and Cultural Heritage,
- Biology and Biochemistry,
- Chemistry (Catalysis, Fuel Cell, ....),
During the visit, visitors will get a chance to see the SESAME facility including Microtron (22 MeV), Booster (800 MeV), various laboratories as well as the existing SESAME infrastructure. For more information and for group visits please don't hesitate to contact sesame.sc@sesame.org.jo
